Linx Introduces Monopole Whip Antennas for FirstNet Safety & LPWA Applications
Leading antennas expert, Linx Technologies, has expanded its CW Series and PW Series single-band monopole whip antennas. The antenna lines now support low-power wide-area applications for cellular IoT (LTE-M, NB-IoT), LoRaWAN and SIGFOX as well as cellular public safety applications in LTE Band 14.
When rugged simplicity coupled with targeted performance is required, CW Series and PW Series antennas are a great solution. Linx single-band monopole antennas provide better performance in the targeted frequency band than do most multiband antennas while typically costing less. CW Series antennas mount with an SMA or reverse polarity SMA connector while the PW Series antenna are cabled panel-mount solutions with either a U.FL/MHF connector or plain wire for soldering to a printed circuit board. Both antenna series are weather resistant and offer the potential for IP-rated solutions.
The new antennas target cellular LTE Bands 5, 8, 13, 14, 20 and 28, and LoRaWAN CN470-510 for use in China. LTE Band 14 is designated for FirstNet public safety applications in the United States. FirstNet is a U.S. federal entity that ensures the building, deployment and operation of the first high-speed, nationwide wireless broadband network dedicated to public safety and administers the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network being developed by AT&T.
In addition to the new LTE Band 14 antenna, the Band 28 CW Series and PW Series antennas also perform very well in Band 14 with good performance in other typical AT&T frequency bands, providing a public safety antenna option with the capability to operate elsewhere on the AT&T network.
The CW Series and PW Series are available via Linx’s distributor and manufacturer representative networks.
