1 GHz to 18 GHz Cavity Backed Spiral Antenna OBS-10180
$1599
The OBS-10180 is a compact, cavity-backed spiral antenna designed for high-performance transmission and reception across the 1.0 GHz to 18.0 GHz frequency range. With moderate gain and VSWR, this circularly polarized antenna provides an excellent impedance match and radiation pattern.
Key features of this antenna include the ability to receive both linearly and circularly polarized signals, with linear gain approximately 3 dB lower than circular gain. Its low-profile design, planar aperture, no phase center offset, flexibility for carrying, and lightweight and symmetrical radiation beam width ensure consistent performance across the entire frequency band. The antenna’s outermost dimensions are a diameter of 68mm and a height of 50mm.
With these advantages, it is ideal for a variety of demanding applications. It serves a range of industries including wideband communication systems, general-purpose radar, and electronic warfare (EW). Whether used in satellite communication, wireless backhaul, or tactical military communication, this antenna ensures strong performance across all major frequency bands. Additionally, it’s well-suited for air traffic control radar, weather monitoring, and long-range surveillance radar systems. In electronic warfare, this antenna excels in radar detection, jamming, and signal intelligence (SIGINT), thanks to its broad frequency coverage. Its versatile design also makes it perfect for multifunctional platforms like aircraft or naval systems, where it supports communication, radar, and EW functions with a single antenna. This robust solution is engineered for use in a variety of challenging environments, offering unmatched performance and reliability.https://www.rfecho.com/product-category/rf-antenna/cavity-backed-spiral-antenna/

Cavity Backed Spiral Antenna
1GHz to 18GHz
OBS-10180
The OBS-10180 is a compact, moderate gain, moderate VSWR, circularly-polarized cavity-backed spiral antenna designed to transmit and receive in the frequency band of 1.0 GHz to 18.0 GHz. The antenna exhibits an excellent impedance match and radiation pattern.
It is capable of receiving both linearly polarized signals and a circularly polarized signal. The linear gain (dBil) is about 3 dB lower than the circular gain (dBic).
The antenna has the advantages of a low profile, a planar aperture, no phase center offset, near constant beam width across the frequency band, normally symmetrical radiation beam width, extreme flexibility for carrying, and lightweight.
These advantages render the antenna a very good candidate for electronic warfare, direction-finding, telemetry, and surveillance systems, as well as flush-mounted airborne applications. The antenna can also be used as a broadband feed for reflector antennas.
The antenna’s outermost dimensions are a diameter of 68mm and a height of 50mm.
