6 GHz to 18 GHz Cavity Backed Spiral Antenna OBS-60180
$1305
The OBS-60180 is a compact, cavity-backed spiral antenna designed for high-performance transmission and reception across the 6.0 GHz to 18.0 GHz frequency range. With moderate gain and VSWR, this circularly polarized antenna provides an excellent impedance match and radiation pattern.
Key features of this antenna include the ability to receive both linearly and circularly polarized signals, with linear gain approximately 3 dB lower than circular gain. Its low-profile design, planar aperture, minimal phase center offset, flexibility for carrying, and lightweight and symmetrical radiation beam width ensure consistent performance across the entire frequency band. The antenna’s outermost dimensions are a diameter of 68mm and a height of 50mm.
With these advantages, it is ideal for a variety of demanding applications. First of all, one of its key strengths lies in enabling wideband communication systems, such as satellite communication, military tactical communications, and radar data links, offering moderate-to-high data rates over long distances. In surveillance and tracking radar systems, this antenna is perfect for achieving moderate-to-high resolution, allowing effective tracking of moving targets and conducting large-area surveillance. It is frequently employed in ground-mapping radars and airborne radar systems, providing reliable performance for defense and security operations. For electronic warfare (EW), this antenna also excels in radar detection, signal interception, and jamming systems, offering flexibility and adaptability to a wide spectrum of potential threats. Its broad frequency range ensures versatility for various EW tasks. The multifunctional nature of this antenna makes it suitable for platforms that combine communication, radar, and EW functions. It is commonly integrated into aircraft, ships, and ground vehicles for defense applications, where multiple systems need to operate seamlessly in demanding environments.https://www.rfecho.com/product-category/rf-antenna/cavity-backed-spiral-antenna/
